Heroku Data for Redis 6.2 deprecation
Change effective on 16 July 2024
Heroku is deprecating support for Heroku Data for Redis version 6.2. This deprecation is part of our documented version support policy. The end-of-life date is December 2, 2024.
Our schedule for deprecating all Redis 6.2 instances is as follows:
- July 16, 2024: We send a deprecation notification to Heroku Data for Redis 6.2 users.
- October 2, 2024: You can’t create Redis 6.2 instances after this date.
- October 31, 2024: Forced upgrades on deprecated Redis 6.2 instances start.
- December 2, 2024: We start restricting access and deleting Redis 6.2 instances after this end-of-life date.
We urge you to upgrade your instance to the latest version as soon as possible.
