Python 3.10.5 is now available

Change effective on 07 June 2022

  • Python 3.10.5 is now available.
  • The default Python version for new apps is now Python 3.10.5 (previously 3.10.4).

Of note, the build process for this release includes a number of improvements (first introduced with last month’s Python 3.9.13 release) that reduce the size of the Python runtime included in application slugs by 75%, freeing up more space for application dependencies and other assets.
