Default add-on plans for ephemeral apps

Change effective on 14 March 2017

Ephemeral apps, such as Review and CI apps, are changing how add-on plans are selected.

Previously ephemeral app plans were determined by the values specified in the staging app’s app.json within the ephemeral app’s pipeline.

Now, add-on services will still be determined by a staging app.json, but the plans will be determined by a provider-specified ephemeral default plan.

For most users this should reduce costs and improve provisioning time, while mitigating the impact of resource churn on partners.
