Heroku PostgreSQL 9.2 Deprecation

Change effective on 15 November 2016

Heroku is deprecating support for all databases running PostgreSQL 9.2. This deprecation is part of our documented version support policy. If the 9.2 database is on a legacy plan, it must be updated to a supported production plan. When updating to a supported production plan, client connections are required to use SSL/TLS.

Deprecated Postgres databases will be automatically migrated to the latest version of Postgres on or after Jan 16, 2017. We urge customers to migrate and update their databases themselves prior to this date so that they can test application computability and perform the migration on their own schedule.
