Change effective on 28 January 2016
Heroku has added the ability for customers looking to test out Go v1.6 the ability to push code and have it compiled using the Go 1.6 rc1 release. This is the default version of Go when “go1.6” is specified in an application’s
Godeps/Godeps.json file. When Go 1.6 is released the buildpack will be updated to use the official release.
Go v1.6rc1 is a release candidate and should not be used with production applications. It is provided for testing purposes only.
