More Frequent Re-authentication for CLI Sessions

Change effective on 04 May 2021

Starting today, May 4, 2021, the amount of time users can stay logged in on the Heroku CLI has changed in an effort to improve the security of the Heroku Platform in line with Salesforce security policies. The changes will take effect the next time a user is prompted to re-authenticate.

All Heroku users that don’t use SSO will be required to reenter their credentials to use the Heroku CLI every 30 days. SSO-enabled users will continue to need to log in through their identity provider every 8 hours.
