TLS v1.0/v1.1 one year end-of-life window begins 31 July 2020
Change effective on 16 July 2020
The one year end-of-life window for TLS v1.0/v1.1 support begins 31 July 2020.
Heroku has begun the transition off of older TLS versions and one year from July 31, 2020 will support only TLS v1.2 or greater on the platform. Users will need to upgrade from the less-secure TLS versions v1.0/v1.1 during this window.
We recently changed the default ciphers used on all new Heroku apps deployed in Private Spaces to support only TLS v1.2+. A similar change is planned for the Common Runtime. These are the first steps of several changes we expect to make before July 2021 when support will end.
