The Crashnote add-on is currently in beta.
Table of Contents
Crashnote is a service that notifies you via e-mail about new Java exceptions, groups multiple occurrences, visualizes errors and gives you detailed information that you need to fix them.
Getting Started
Step 1: Installing the add-on
Install the Crashnote add-on via the CLI (or the web interface):
:::term
$ heroku addons:create crashnote
-----> Adding crashnote to myapp... done.
This will add a CRASHNOTE_KEY
to the application’s configuration which connects your app to a Crashnote account.
Step 2: Setup the application
Then integrate the notifier - a small library which hooks into the application to catch errors and sends them to Crashnote.
You can find the instructions in the official documentation.
Step 3: Deploy
Finally just deploy it to Heroku as usual via git push
and the next exception that occurs in your app appears right in your Crashnote dashboard.
Support
All Crashnote support and runtime issues should be logged with Heroku Support. Any non-support related issues or product feedback is welcome at hello@crashnote.com or via Twitter @crashnote.
